Overview

Construction Translator / Interpreter
 
We are looking for a skilled Translator with a strong grasp of technical and construction industry terminology to join our team. You will bridge communication gaps between management, multilingual on-site crews, contractors, and international partners. You will be proficent in both Germand and English Langauge. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate Documents: Accurately translate blueprints, technical specifications, equipment manuals, legal contracts, and project bids.
  • Safety & Compliance: Translate health and safety protocols, training materials, and emergency procedures to ensure complete comprehension by all on-site workers.
  • On-Site Interpretation: Provide verbal interpretation during client meetings, safety briefings, contractor negotiations, and site inspections.
  • Proofreading & Editing: Review translated materials for grammar, technical precision, and local regulatory compliance before publication or distribution.
  • Glossary Management: Maintain bilingual glossaries of industry-specific jargon related to engineering, architecture, and building materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience translating technical or industrial content; prior background in construction, engineering, or manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and standard office software.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly across language and cultural barriers
